At this forum more than 2000 young people have got education in different workshops according to their interests and youth policy directions: youth selv-governance, entrepreneurship, voluntary organizations, sport, creativity, tourism, ecology, journalism, research, international cooperation, and young politicians.
There are many examples of successful projects form the Forum that prove that young people are willing to contribute to improving the life in Arkhangelsk region: building of a youth area in Velsky district, “Youth antialcohol campaign”, “Development of youth entrepreneurship”, “System of youth authorities in Arkhangelsk region”, “Pomor career days”, “International cooperation”.
During the previous forums 153 young people have received training in basics of entrepreneurship. 10 young entrepreneurs have receive subsidies for opening their own business and created new employments.
Today the task for the forum is to work out and promote minimum 30 project initiatives. Most efficient and realistic of them, having social orientation and commercial result, will get evaluation and follow up from the leading experts, and recommendations to various regional and federal competitions, proving grant support.
Total duration of the forum was 7 days, from Monday 15 July to Sunday 21 July. During those days the participants took part in various workshops and trainings according to their interests and youth policy directions: youth selv-governance, entrepreneurship, voluntary organizations, sport, creativity, tourism, ecology, journalism, research, international cooperation, and young politicians, there has also been an extensive sports and cultural programme. This year there were about 500 participants at the forum from all the municipalities of Arkhangelsk region, Murmansk region, Karelia, Norway and other regions and countries.
