Barents Reunion 2009
Barents Reunion is an organization that aims to create networks and meetings between the five people of the Barents area. The activities shall contribute to increase cross-border initiatives and strengthen the vitality and hope for the future among the people in the Barents area.
Barents Reunion will be a yearly event in Haparanda Tornio to strengthen the cooperation in the region with a special focus on entrepreneurship, education, labour market, energy and environment, culture and sport. The initiator of the Barents Reunion is Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA.
The Barents Reunion event will take form as yearly conferences in Haparanda Tornio. NGOs in the Barents region active within culture and sports are invited to take part during the conference with different activities and happenings that reflects the variety and rich culture of the Barents region.
The theme for the convent in 2009 is energy and environment and it would be valuable if people from your organisation who work with these questions would like to participate. The conference lasts for two days from lunch and includes lectures and presentation by politicians from the Nordic countries.
