Explosion of youth energy in Rovaniemi
Barens youth musical "Explode"
In November winter Rovaniemi was filled with youth energy from all of the Barents region. Participants of the Explode musical project just in 3 days created an unforgettable performance about the issues important for all young people in the Barents region.From 16 to 20 November in Rovaniem Barents youth musical Explode was organized by the Barents Regional Youth Council, it was attended by 80 young people from all over the Barents Region. 3 days were full of work done simultaneously at multiple sites: the art and fashion, dance, music band, acting and media group. Each group was preparing its own contribution to the common performance by itself, for example, the dancers made the music with modern beats of famous Finnish accordionist Markku Lepistö, Thunderbird, a group of young designers Barents provided costumes for the musical of all participants, spectators and musicians pleased songs Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Stevie Wonder and some other well-known performers. The final show took place on November 19 in a concert hall in Rovaniemi.
Due to the active work of the video and photo media group, you can see how the training was held at different venues in different formats. For three days it was filmed several documentaries, stop-motion film, and even a horror movie.
Close 3-day work was not in vain, youths from all over the Barents region got acquainted with each other and began to build a joint future projects.
The next year a new event is going to be planned under the Barents Regional Youth Council, so stay tuned at www.barentsyouth.org!
