Golden Keys children's festival
A fairy tale from the North in a new way
The Vth International Children &Youth Music & Theatre Festival ”Golden keys” shall be held in April 2012 in the capital of the Republic of Karelia, in Petrozavodsk. The topic of the festival shall be “Fairytale from the North in XXI century”. ”Golden keys” is a place of meeting of creative children and youth theatre groups from Northern Europe, cities and villages of Karelia and Russia. It is an experimental site for producers, composers, experts in Children Theatre Training with competent jury and smart spectaculars. The festival has always produced premieres which have been often attended by Russian and foreign authors. It has always been a synthesis of arts and innovations (fairytale is a genre which gives you a lot of space for creation). Festival is children music performances, musicals, operas in different languages, folk theatre and dancing. It is a nice meeting of friends, not competitors, it is a joint creation and mutual sensations, it is a peculiar atmosphere of experience exchange through marathon, discussion, master-classes and creative meetings.
“Golden keys” means as well the International Children Press-center “Times and we”. It means the competition of drawings and cartoons, theatre masks and works, poetries and stories. It has charitable activities and acknowledgement with unique culture and traditions of Karelia and Northern Europe. Fairytale tellers from different countries and performances by group of children with limited opportunities happen at the festival as well.
