Call to NGOs and civil society actors

The non-governmental organizations and other civil society actors in the Barents region are invited to fill in the questionnaire at the website of the International Barents Secretariat regarding their cross-border project financing. 

The answers will contribute to gathering information concerning the financial needs, the existing financing sources and the possible financing gaps in cross-border cooperation of NGOs and other civil society actors in the Barents region. The website will be open until 20 January 2015.

The XIV Session of the Barents Euro-Arctic Council (BEAC) 29 October 2013 in Tromso decided to conduct a study on the state of financing of Barents cooperation. The BEAC has been collecting information from the member states and the EU, regional level actors, Barents working groups, other regional or cross-border cooperation structures, international and national financial institutions and other sources. The study will be completed in the autumn 2015 before the end of the Finnish BEAC Chairmanship.

The deadline is 25 January, 2015.
